How do you remove a leather covered pad in order to add a spacer ?

you can not and have it end up looking correct. You have to plan for the spacer before you cover the pad or none of the lines will mate up.

does it have plugs? most do. The ones that do not are usually glued on.

Galazan leather covered pads have leather covered plugs. Pop the leather covered plugs out and you will probably see the screws that hold the pad on. Unscrew those screws and remove the pad. Now you have the hard work of making a spacer. My Galazan leather covered pad is so perfect that I would never try to make any changes, but you can do as you choose.

First you hang a coon tail off the muzzle and then you put twin antenna on the butt stock, neon lights around the trigger guard are also a help. Just kidding but you may as well pitch the covered pad and just use a regular pad of the proper thickness.
