It is a matter of luck, but transplants are possible.

I purchased a 20ga Field Grade ejector and was able to move its barrels to an LC 5E 20ga with only minor filing and it worked well. It made for a nice second shorter set of barrels as the original were 30 inch. That said not all attempts will be that easy.
