In the 1961 Shooters Bible, all the Sarasqueta imports are called "Zephyr" followed by a model name. That includes three boxlocks (Woodlander, Pinehurst, and Double 10) and four sidelocks (Sterlingworth, Uplander, Upland King, and the big Thunderbird, a 10 ga magnum with 32" barrels). I've only seen one Upland King. It came with a single trigger and vent rib. Upgraded wood, engraving, and special stock dimensions were all available. For all 3, the buyer paid about $150 on top of the standard price of $218 for an Upland King.

Went back to the shop today to take another look for the date code after being told the X was not the date code. The actual date code is A.1 so vicky is a 1955 and she weights 7 lbs on the money.

I'm trying to get the photo thing figured out so I can add some photos for you all.

Thanks again for all the help.

Can Someone please give some guidance as to how to add photos? Can I use Picasa? I didn't find the FAQ on adding images to be overly helpful.

Thanks

Thanks, it's the web side I have to get figured out. Picasa doesn't seem to be the way to go so I'll give photobucket a try.

Picked up my VS yesterday. Turns out the guy selling it was the original owner and had found some original documentation he had. Inside the little brown envelope was the original documentation from production in perfect condition like it had never been looked at before. Wonder if this ups the value any.

Also, this gun game from the factory with 26" barrels. Anyone have any thoughts on that? More or less desirable?

Definitely good to have the original paperwork. Adds to the value. 26" barrels . . . on a 16, I'd say less desirable. The trend these days is in the direction of longer barrels. But if you wanted to sell it, expect you'd generate plenty of interest somewhere like 16ga.com. Or even here.
