As usual Laxcoach, you don't know what you are talking about....JDW makes note, as copied above, that Hoofs gun was made by Hunter Arms.....
read the post if you can word for word.....IT WAS NOT MADE BY HUNTER ARMS....It was made by the new L.C.Smith Gun Company owned by Marlin, not Hunter Arms.
