You are familiar with the area around Maud Island on the South Channel?

Yes, weather is still fine, no ice yet, but we are getting ready to head south.

Regarding my Fox, I have been shooting 2.5 inch loads that I buy just for that gun. I will probably consign the gun this summer at one of the gun shops in and around Millbrook, NY. I am trying to limit my inventory of guns that take a special type of ammo.

I hope I don't ruffle any feathers, but I am not a Fox enthusiast. I think mine is an A grade, very nice for its age, but I prefer English doubles - and there you go, more specialized ammo in 2 and 2 1/2 inch lengths.

SR, I kept my sailboat at Killbear for 10 years. Sailed north or south from there just about every weekend from May to September. each year. One thing I liked about where you are is that passage from the main bay is a bit tricky if you aren't good with charts or don't have local knowledge. Kept most other cruisers out.
