have noticed that more and more guys are selling used guns on gunbroker than ever before...interestingly, many of them have an "as is, no return policy"...now I have been selling on gunbroker since 2001, with a return policy. I also buy on gunbroker. I would never buy from anyone who will not at least guarantee their merchandise to be as advertised. yet these guys seem to get away with selling with no return...how do they do that? wish I could get away with it...

Here's a policy for you, ed:
Quit filling this Forum with mindless crap threads.
You've screwed enough internet gun buyers to know all there is to know about "return policies."

ed, your kidding right ?What a damn hypocrite Rule #1 Never, ever, buy a gun from a seller who uses ALL CAPS ! Rule #2 Never ever buy a gun without a 100% 5 day return, don't fall for; "Returns are handled on an individual basis. You can expect that i know what I am selling. You are expected to know what you are buying." Translation, you bought you OWN it sucker ! Ruler #3 if the Seller says "You can expect that i know what I am selling",then does this with a torch to a gun, run don't walk from the deal.(note the old "don't close the action all the way to make the lever stay right trick"

dave: my return policy works for me and my customers. and I plan to continue it, so long as it works. what I was trying to find out here was how so many other sellers on gunbroker can apparently do business without a return policy?
nice looking old redone parker...better than most I see.

ed, that "return" policy is a FARCE and YOU know it !
"You can expect that i know what I am selling. You are expected to know what you are buying." Same as the guy selling watches on the street !
BTW that Parker is a POS, been torched to UNSAFE and UGLY condition and the way you leave it open just a bit to HIDE the lever position just shows what a CROOK you are !

dave: well, I guess I have to be honest with you. one of the purposes of my return policy is to weed out negative, hostile people like you. I have found over the years, that the more of your type I discourage from buying from me the better it is for all, especially my consignment customers...
suggest you read your posts here and then ask yourself this question: would I want to do business with a guy like this, who comes across so negative, is so hostile and who makes negative assumptions without the facts?
I know what my answer is...no thanks!

Ed, I would suggest you read most of the posts made in response to threads you have started or posts you have made. Then ask yourself this question: Would I want to continue trying to engage people in conversations who don't want me engaging them?
I mean really Ed, what's the point of you being here. Whether you are defending your wares and what you have done to them, your business practices, your anti-hunting stance or any other subject, you are generally not finding a welcoming audience here.
So why be here?

ed,
I call a spade a spade and that gun,the way it was torched and pictures-as well as your bogus "return policy" screams deception. No you would not find people like me-knowledgeable gun buyers,as customers. You prey (yes thats what you do) on new and unsuspecting buyers to take advantage of them. Your business practices do nothing for the collecting community other then enforce Buyer Beware and scare them off.
Most of those on here have been buying/trading guns for many years and I bet you would have to look long and hard to find anyone that would give you one nickle for anything you are selling. In fact most would go out of the way to keep a prospective buyer away from your torched guns.
