What leads you to believe a 1955 production date on this gun? I ask, because by 1950 most Darne production was 70mm chamber-the R10 I own was built in 1946 and was a 70mm gun. It is entirely possible the gun you own was built and proofed at 65mm in 1955, I'm just curious as to how you established the date.
