Well if you are to go by the bore and choke markings on your gun and they give 1/2 and 3/4 chokes, then yes they would work for your hunting. But as mentioned, you will not know that for sure unless you pattern the gun and if you can't do that before buying it, then you have to take a chance. Also, do you know for sure that someone hasn't already opened up the chokes?
I have 3 Brno SxS's and all are full/modified. While the full choke isn't ideal, I use them for upland hunting the way they are.
