Gordon: Thanks for sharing your dilemma with us. I have shied away from recasing in the past anyway but am even more reluctant to consider it now. You have dealt with some of the best in the business and still end up with a mess. I think you'll get the mess straightened out but send it off to a good 'smith who does this all the time.
