damascus Sidelock Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,158 Likes: 250 Cheshire England	The stain that was used to colour vintage Brit gun stocks is �Red Oil� which is Alkanet Root steeped for some months in Linseed oil which provides a dark rich red colour. The only lessons in my life I truly did learn from where the ones I paid for!
