Thanks for all the info, everyone. I took the gun out to the pattern board yesterday, along with my Darne. I had fired 5 rounds through it when another shooter walked over to chat. As we were looking at this Belgian 12, I noticed a nice, big, brand new crack had opened up on the right side just behind the receiver. I was shooting 1 ounce RST "lite" loads. Obviously no experiments with anything heavier are on the program.


Not sure what to do at this point. Anyone have experience or thoughts on repairing cracks in old double-gun stocks?
