I didn't take it that way. I took Mike to mean that HIS Trap grade was a better shooting gun than his Specialty grade, to him. SRH
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Chuck. Any chance you could post a picture of your trap grade? I've thought about having mine recut as well. When I had Bill Schwarz evaluate my gun, he didn't think it really needed it. He then showed me a fully custom Elsie that he was finishing for the show in Reno I believe. It was engraved by guy in either NC or SC that he uses for engraving. The engraving was absolutely amazing.
The game scene engraving on my trap grade is pretty light. I'd like the little convicts to stand out a little better because I think they will disappear a little when it gets re-case colored.

Ken Hurst is not taking on any more jobs. He is in ill health, and told me a week ago "I am done, I will not take on any more jobs." He has had a set of barrels of mine for 3 years. He is a wonderful, loveable, Southern gentleman, but his health does not allow him to do the thing he loves.
I was advised to get my barrels back a couple years ago, but stayed with Ken and stayed, and stayed. The advice was good, but I didn't want to be a jerk. Now, I am in the process of attempting to get my barrels back. Sam Ogle, Lincoln, NE

Gt1900, it is owned by a fellow in SC and was engraved by a fellow in UT. Should be on display at the FEGA show at Beinfeld. This should get you to a photo posted in another topic... http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbt...9327#Post319327

But that is not how you phrased it. "The Trap grade is a better shooting gun."

Well, excuse me but I'm guessing a Purdey shoots better than any LC Smith shotgun, Specialty Grade or Trap Grade is of NO matter. ;-)
Socialism is almost the worst.
