The Parker Story, page 256:

"The barrels were always marked 'VULCAN STEEL' except for a few made with Damascus steel in 1917."

Some years ago a friend had a VH with twist barrels. The gun "booked" as having the twist barrels.

The two Parker VH grade gun I seen were numbered to the gun and both were twist steel. Both were 12ga gun's and original to the gun's. I wish I had the serial numbers now. I collect Remington doubles. I have two model 1900 Remington double's one a 16ga and the other a 12ga that have twist barrels on them and not Remington steel or Damascvus barrels. Terry
