So sorry to hear that the checked was cashed. I hope you have good luck in recovering the funds and exposing this person for what she is.
You two agreed upon a price. You tendered and she accepted your payment. That gun is yours. She refuses to turn it over to you. One way or another, that is theft of a firearm, which is a pretty serious crime.
IMHO, this person is obviously an experienced crook and this is not her first rodeo. Now that she has been caught red handed trying to con you and possibly others, she will employ all her well-practiced tricks to evade accountability. Time and obfuscation are her friends. I would move hard and fast against her on as many simultaneous fronts as possible.
