I use to reload to save money. The savings are just not there for 12 and 20 loads. Now I reload for low pressure and small gauge. You can still load 28 and .410 for major savings. I know there are low pressure factory loads but reloading can save money and give me more last minute flexibility to choose load to gun combo to suit.
I use six or seven different powders so if one is in short supply I just switch to another. You do have to call these days. Most web sites show no inventory but if you call they often have some but just do not bother updating. Primers are still in low supply so when I find them I always buy a few thousand. Perhaps 20 K on hand in five different flavors. If you switch powders you need more variety in wads, primers and how. Nothing is simple these days.
