Words like that will worry his mother. Perhaps better to say I try to follow your prime example and learn from you, your good points as well as your mistakes. Which in guy talk is I can not wait to do that. It looks like fun and makes a noise or mess. Hopefully both.

Okay, enough of this sentimental stuff! Is that lagomorph a cane cutter, or just a grandaddy cottontail? Or is that kid REALLY tiny?

What make & vintage vehicle are we looking at in the background over that young man's left shoulder?

Yep that's a cane cutter. We used to only have cane cutter when these woods were cut over now we are getting a lot of cottontails which are harder to hit but taste better. The four wheeler is the best invention for bottom land since the horse. He calls my shotgun Pop Pop's shooter.
Life is good!

What I’d give to have a picture of my Grandfather, my Dad, my Uncle, my older brother and my cousin, newly arrived after his tour in Vietnam, crossing the field on Craig St. then turning onto Derrick Ave and heading home with their shotguns broken and slung over their shoulders after finishing up a rainy morning hunt on Thanksgiving Day. I guess that image and time will just have to stay in my head.

A picture is better. Thanks Jeweler and Stan for including us. smile
