This past season I used a VL&D Francotte for duck hunting and liked it so much I want to pick up another. When hunting it appears my index finger must be resting near the trigger guard as I get a dandy bruise right above the knuckle. It doesn't happen when I'm shooting clays - only when in the field. Additionally I am shooting relatively tame 1 1/8 oz ITX loads while hunting. What adjustments can I make to correct this. Is there any advantage to a single trigger gun?

T would like to get a 14E but would consider a Francotte High Guns with single trigger - any thought on that gun?
Thanks
