Does anyone know when production of 2 3/4 chambers began? I'm looking at a diamond grade, extra fine damascus 12 gauge, serial 9xx and the chambers measures 2 3/4. Trying to determine if that is correct or if they've been lengthened from 2 1/2...

Is there a date code on the gun? Is it a Lindner gun? If Lindner, odds in particular would favor factory short chambers.

I'm sure they would chamber a Diamond Grade or even a lower grade for any length of shell.

It was built decades before Germany began date codes. In all probability it was made with the short chambers. But never say never.......

Thanks all, I agree and found a comparison point that measured 2.5".
