Thanks, Daryl. The leash/rope release of the large connibear has appeared here before, but your link is the best overall on traps of all kinds and a good refresher on the connibear. I wasn't familiar with the snare lock. Gil

We had one horrible death here in NH last year, trapper set connibear above ground for fishers.
