I've been fooling with one here now for 30 minutes with snap caps and the time honored masking tape telltale.

If it's closed it shoots.

I can't duplicate Kutter's failure mode with this one, although I don't discount the possibility.

This is about as simple as a gun gets... sorry I can't be of more help.
