I use an iron tank made for barrel boiling from Brownells, had it 25 years. use a propane camp stove to heat it, boil for 20 min. cool and card. I also use red spray paint in the barrel to reduce rusting of the bore then after all the boiling is done I remove it with lacquer thinner and terry cloth patches cleaning until the red is gone.
