Steve: I'm lucky in that way, my cabin and land sits as the crow flies, approx. 600 yds up hill on a crested butte, from the river. In elevation I am 189 feet above the river at the homesite and 134 ft. above at the lowest point on the 185 fenced acres. Close enough too walk, to high to flood...unless it's the FINAL,BIG ONE!
