Don't feel bad, I called the rifle a .450 when I first posted this thread. I have a .450 Alex Henry identical to SKB's that is cased with full accessories and was built for the Duke of Portland who was a cousin to the King of England.

Maybe you want to sell that rifle?

I love the little .360 doubles. They are rare, fun to shoot, effective, and so tiny.

If you ever own one of these you will know the unique pleasure. Ballistics are nothing to sneeze at - about the same as a .38-55, but with a lighter "express" bullet. Mine regulates with 200 grain bullets. Brass is no problem. Buy a batch of 9.3x72R and chop them to proper length.

Captain, I always enjoy seeing pictures of one or another (or another!) of your wonderful DR's selected from your cache.

At present 4 grace my safes, and they are all "eared". Actually, if I include the Lang percussion double I have 5. I hate this business of always wanting wanting wanting but, truth be told, I do.

I started acquiring them about 5 or 6 years ago, and current prices seem to be stretched to almost astronomical heights.

If I may be so bold, how long ago was it when you acquired your very first double rifle? This is asked simply out of curiosity, and now I'm also wondering what make and calibre it was.
