If the price is right buy it. Show the seller the lack of updates as a negotiating ploy. I had one which I shot 150,000 before it got the update. Never had a problem before or after the updates. I sent it back to get the wood replaced and they did the update without telling me. Pissed me off because I had just had a high shine deep reblue done by Simmons. The factory blue was half as nice so I had it reblued by Simmons again. Their blue was extremely black gloss and held up well to my sweaty gloved hands.

I would shoot the gun as is and not worry about it. But buy it at a good price. You can find 3200 with screw in Briley chokes if you look on the net in the low to mid teens. I bought one last year for 950 with trashed stocks and a full set of Briley chokes and with 4" forcing cones. Easy to swap wood with a little glass bedding to prevent cracking. I have 10-12 sets of wood. I got a call when Remington was getting ready to sell off their 3200 parts and wood from a friend. Bought enough wood to replace every stock I had a the time with a few spares.

Guys do not miss the yard sale my wife is going to have after I die. You know all that $50 wood and $100 guns I've bought over the years.
