I'd also like to see that article. I've read references to it various places, and recall that the other "classic" American doubles were included in Olin's test with blue pill loads, but don't recall anything about any foreign guns.

BSA was a very large concern and also made motor cycles and cars even. They were mainly concerned in air rifle manufacture and some of their .22 target rifles were as good as you could get. They started with a cut price non-ejector boxlock 12 bore and sort of promised the gun trade that they wouldn't make an ejector that would undercut the market; but they did. They range from plain in the extreme to a nicely engraved ejector model. If you can find a copy of the book The Golden Century by John Knibbs it has a wealth of information on BSA. You will also find single barrel 12bore guns and a .410 bolt action gun that they made. The .410 was based on military Lee Speed action and was the first gun to be chambered for the 2 1/2" .410 cartridge which Eley-Kynoch made for the gun. Lagopus.....

Von Falkenhorst The top of the line B.S.A. shot gun in 1937 is described as;'B.S.A. Special game model". This gun was priced at 25 Pounds.10 pounds more than their standard non-ejector model. This model had 25 inch barrels auto ejectors,Jessop steel barrels and was available with 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 chambers. The gun was profusely engraved with rose and scroll patterns. For many years I owned one of these guns 350399.

Sorry for the delay in replying, guys. Running the tractors some long hours right now.
What I know of that testing that Olin did was from reading McIntosh's account in "Best Guns", if I'm remembering correctly. I would like to read the full account of it myself.
