First, scout a lot to find a concentration of the birds. Look for the large migratory flocks in the winter after Christmas. You will need the normal camoflage/blinds and a couple dozen decoys. Sometimes an owl decoy helps - I used to have a Great Horned Owl (stuffed) that worked well). But the Feds will get overly excited about that sort of decoy now. From there it is much like duck hunting. Set up a blind, put out the decoys and do a little calling. Try to kill their scout bird and use it with the owl. If you can get them riled up about the owl killing some crows they will sometimes ignore gunshots for a while, making for great shooting. Six and seven shot work just fine. I got into a couple of large migratory flocks of several hundred birds in Pennsylvania years ago and had great shooting. I don't know what the season is where you live. It is a Federal reg tied to a treaty between USA, Mexico and Canada. I don't know if electronic calls are legal.
