Here are pictures from Photobucket of two guns here with widows peaks and Leather Covered Pads that extend into the peak. One is a thick pad (about 1 1/4") the customer needed to make up the LOP and it is not particularly attractive. The other worked quite well and I would think that might be a good way to go especially if the pad is less than an inch or so. You could still produce a pad with the correct thickness by using a spacer and fitting that to the curvature of the buttstock then providing for the widows peak and finally covering the whole thing and creasing the lines into the border.
