My worst was with a guy whose initials were SLY in Missouri. I should have had a clue. After sending him good funds for a nice Hammergun and instructions to break it down and wrap it, he sent it full length in a flimsy box with a moderate amount of rolled up newspaper and two empty Coke cans (Seriously). Needless to say it was broken in the wrist. After several calls and e mails to him he finally answered after a week to tell me the three day inspection had expired.

I remember this guy used to have what,in many instances, appeared to be overpriced junk on Gunbroker. His ads would run for months and I suspect sometimes for years. I don't know what became of him and haven't seen any of his ads in quite some time. Perhaps he was expelled from gunbroker. Jim

That guy had the smallest, fuzziest, worst photo's of any gun ads that I've ever seen.... Guess he wasn't smart enough to enlarge his photos on his overpriced wares......?....... We used to laugh and wonder why anybody would buy anything from him, just on the bad photography alone....?.....Like you said, "he has the right initials".......

Bought a damascus barrelled Charles Osborne BLNE some years ago. The photos were inconclusive, but I was assured that there was plenty of finish, bores good, tight etc; it was, of course, none of those... but I think the seller honestly had no idea what he was looking at. I learned a lot from that transaction.

Some sellers are clueless but none with 50+ Feedbacks are even if they pretentious to be. Alarm bells should ring when pictures are bad and description vague. You roll the dice on any seller with few sales to date even with good pictures. Sometimes you buy a gun in spite of bad descriptions and bad pictures sometimes you might because of it.
Some sellers are better at rifles or handguns than they are at shotguns. I bought a HE Fox that was being sold as a HE savage Fox economy double and priced near a grand. Seller thought it was the later, cheaper knock off economy double using the Fox name. Now if it had been a rifle he could have told you the value to the penny not so with an old double. That is one I should have kept.

anyone hear of Wholesale Hunter? they know nothing about guns so they make money by selling guns that they dont have or were never made and blame it on the customer and no matter what goes down you will NEVER see your money again and often never receive the Item you wanted to buy.

Speaking of SLY, here's a great offering at a great price, a Best Gun in every sense: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=422578491But you have to admit his pictures are better! Be Good! Greg
