Back when we were all buying from Gun List, aka Gun Lust: I made a deal on a 28ga AyA #4 from a private seller in TX. Gun came exactly as described. I got a good deal, remembered the guy's name in case he might advertise anything else. Well, he did. Belgian (don't even remember the maker, but not a very high dollar gun) 20ga. Called, spoke with him, said he'd been sick, but everything on the gun sounded straight. Agreed on the price, sent a certified check. Gun arrived. It was indeed as described . . . except it was a 16ga. I wasn't all that unhappy because I was shooting 16's a lot back then, but in this case, I'd wanted a 20. So I called him up. Got a relative, found out he'd died in the interim. I expressed my condolences and did OK when I finally sold that 16.

maybe you girls oughta go whine down in misfires? It surprises me not in the least that someone with your reputation would have such an opinion..... Someone gets ripped off so he's just a whiney biatch, right? Easy to tell which end of the rip-off you see things from.....

ah yes...the old " he aint here no mo, he dead", dodge... Pretty sure, in this case, the individual in question really was dead. We all die, Ed . . . although there's a special corner of hell reserved for shady gun dealers.

ed, I'm amazed they still let you hang around on this forum. Anyone notice property values declining here lately?

The Parker gentlemen have identified Ed by name as one reason this board has declined to the point where many of them will no longer participate. Ed, you're a horse's ass of the first order. Bob Cash

Greg I the grand scheme of Firearms Screw Jobs, you got out light, that guy was just a petty thief compared to some of the Madoff's I have encountered. True, that he got off light. But sometimes those little ripoffs are the most annoying and sting long, way out of proportion. I'm still chapped from last week about the supermarket bagger putting a 5# bag of rice on top of the loaf of bread.
