You have a little to learn about search functions on internet sites as well as about Parker shotguns. GI has a category for original Parkers that is separate from Repros. You are definitely in need of some stewardship if you mistake a $2000 Parker for a $6500 Parker. You should go to the PGCA website forum and to some, maybe many, side by side events where vendors are set up with shotguns for sale.

Good lord.... relax. I certainly know the difference between a reproduction and an original Parker, but go search Parker DHE on GI and you'll see that there are lots of reproduction ads as well as originals. That's all I meant to say. In fact... that's all I did say. Nothing about mistaking one for the other.

Why do people have to make such asses of themselves around here?

Aftermarket recoil pad, altered rib, un-timed screws, no exterior case color finish or trigger guard blue. Not worth anywhere near the asking price. In my opinion there is no need even perusing or looking into this one any further.

And, if you have serious questions regarding Parkers, better to seek out help on the PGCA site. You will also face less trouble over there.

I was merely informing you that GI has a category list that separates originals from Repros. Sorry if I offended you. You came on here looking for help and you're getting it. And you may notice that I said nothing about "mistaking" an original from a Repro. As you suggested, relax.

Hey Edster- do you believe in reincarnation? If so, ever think that old Rummy is a reincarnation of the Ford Motor Co. whiz-kid McNamara, the numbnut who tried to "micro-manage" the Vietnam War for America--He and LBJ and that idiot Westmoreland have to account for the "butcher's bill"- 58, 322 aprox, as on the Wall- including the names of two of my best HS buddies- Why do we keep listening to idiots like McNamara, Rumsfeld, Cheney- their sons never wear a uniform or face combat- wonder why that is-- How's the beer situation looking? Got some nice cold St. Pauli Girl(s) on ice- you know, the gal with the Jugs and the Mugs on the label- what's not to like, right?

New Castle is good- know why the English folk serve their draught beer and ale in their pubs at way warmer temperatures that we do here in "The Colonies"- hint- same reason the ignition systems in the older MG and Jaguar and Rolls-Royce and Bentley automobiles are not 100% reliable- like the German Bosch electronics are--
