There are many AH Foxes that don't touch at the muzzles and that shipped that way. Their barrel lengths match the factory records.

It is my opinion that a significant percentage of Syracuse Lefevers left the the factory with muzzles that don't touch.

I am glad to be here.

As has already been mentioned there are lots of over/unders with the muzzles even farther apart. Also, see Tom Kidd's article in The Double Gun Journal, Volume Two, Issue 1, page 22, for a high grade Ansley H. Fox with widely spread muzzles. I have carried and shot my RBL-16 a lot in the five + years I've had it, while the 12-, 20 and 28-gauges have pretty much been man cave decorations. I've been shooting quite a bit of Skeet with the .410-bore this spring. From my view, the gap isn't an issue. FWIW, my RBL-12 is one of the lighter weight ones built on the same frame as the RBL-16.

Re. bbls that don't touch @ the muzzle.

I have a 12 ga CSMC M21 ordered by me w/29" bbls.& the bbls do not touch @ the muzzle. The regulation of the bbs is perfect from the shooting & pattern testing I've done with it.

It does look a little weird though & I keep the original order info with the gun just in case my wife want's to sell it after I've gone to he "happy hunting grounds" & some sharpie attempts to beat her up on the price because the bbls appear to have been cut.

Researcher, my RBL-12 with the small bead is also a light weight gun built on the smaller frame and your muzzle photo looks identical to mine. 28 inch barrels.
