you are right and it's far more remarkable because there were 40 years of communism in Thuringia!!!!!!!!!!
What is also interesting is, that Ströver started with his bicycle shop early in the 1880ies!!!! He realized the possibilities of this new vehicle and made it to his second leg. This surely helped him to survive in communism!

BTW, his arms and bicycle shop was destroyed by allied bombs on April 4….
