Very Handsome. Brent are you looking?

Yes it is, and yes I am. Finding such a rifle or anything similar even if well worn and used would be great and I'm patient and looking around as much as possible.
I am a big fan of aperture rear sights. But I wonder what it is like to shoot that style of sight.
Most of the sporterized Krags that I've seen are pretty roughly done with not much sense of proportion. The wrist looks to be both functional and yet really attractive. I find most of the grips that I like are too long to be very useful (look at a Shiloh Sharps for a good example) or very short and rather abrupt in appearance. This one is sweet. Shellhammer knew what he was about. I think he must have been Michael's favorite or near favorite stock man. I can understand why.
BTW, I have ordered up a Krag (military configuration

) for Raton in 2.5 weeks so I will get to play with one on steel targets. Will they take down a ram at 500m? Not that it matters, but I will know the answer pretty soon and have some fun playing with it.
