I am considering the purchase of an Ithaca 4E single barrel trap gun. It's in excellent condition and fits me well. The only thing I don't really like about it is the fact that it has a Morgan adjustable recoil pad. I would rather have an Ithaca Sunburst pad, but if I were to replace the Morgan with an Ithaca pad, I would need to add nearly 3/4" of black spacers to retain the current LOP, which appeals to me even less. Any Ideas? Does anyone know if Ithaca ever installed Morgan pads as a factory option? How long have Morgan pads been around, and does the fact that an 80 year old trap gun has one on it negatively affect the value?
