Thruxton, that was a wonderful first post. And I couldn't agree more with your tag line. Welcome aboard.

Yes, welcome aboard. Sorry about the muddle as to next year's venue. Harewood is north of me and only a little farther than Belvoir. I have never been to a Game Fair there before. I was going to the last one but it was cancelled due to that year being very wet and the place was a quagmire. Belvoir suffered the same fate one year too. That's English weather for you! My mate and his wife went this year, they said it was hot but very good. They had won VIP tickets to last years event but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the weather. They were given a cash refund equal to last years prize so were happy with that.
Incidentally, they told me there was a really good turn out of gun stalls from businesses and importers, many more than was seen at some of the other events in recent years
I plan to go next year, I've usually go to the Midland game fair but I'm a bit disillusioned with that one, it's a good day out but dearer and not half as good as it used to be, in my opinion.
Another one I keep meaning to attend is the British shooting show, that's on indoors early in the year, February I think, been told that one is well worth a visit . Only one way to find out though, looks like I'll have to put my hand in my pocket , spend some money on tickets and go.

I know that building (in Ontario) very well. So I guess I know it in Oxfordshire as well. LOL
