This gun: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=70686884 was purchased by me a few months ago. I still have it. It was listed for sale again, several weeks ago and I sent him, "Antlermount", a message saying so. He then pulled the ad and made some excuse about posting the wrong pictures, etc. Here it is again with the same pictures and description. I don't know what his game is but watch out. I have the gun and am happy with it. It's the one with considerable drop, that I made the bending jig and bent up, as far as I could. Be careful of this seller.

Maybe he makes em up in batches, Jim. I've seen the eczema on that left sideplate about a thousand times over the past six months.

Did you notify Gunbroker fraud line. They are pretty good on pulling bad ads and looking into bad sellers.

I'm sure he is just confused about his ad posting. I have purchased from this seller and had good results. I read his feedbacks and the couple of negatives seem to be more questionable than the seller. He has an enormous number of satisfied customers.

That's quite possible. I did notify the Gunbroker fraud line, saying about what I said in my post. Could be an honest mistake but twice, that I know of, makes me suspicious. As I said, I'm happy with the gun, overall. I don't think he was as quick with responses and shipping as I would have liked, but I am retired.

I bought a stunning Colt 1883 from him a few years ago. I found him easy to deal with once I got a hold of him( he let me lay it away). He did at the time, at least, put a whole lot of guns up at once and then he would go off looking for more guns to buy. In the interim, he would be hard to get a hold of. Hopefully this is a "clerical error".

Appears the volume of items accounts for the repeated mistake. In the same slipshod vein is the posting of multiple photos, one or more of which are of another gun or some other item--seller's dog for example. Happens frequently with detail photos of stocks.

Would we be more satisfied to deal with a seller that posts one fuzzy picture and states "If you are a serious buyer, email for more pictures."??? Or how about the popular "If yew don't got no munie, don't wayst mey toime." Antlermount is one of the good ones, I think.

I have bought, more than once, from this gentleman. Satisfied each and every time. You should keep an eye out for his auctions as he does buy some unusual and interesting guns. Best, John
