Bottom rib coming loose at muzzle. How worried do i need to get? Is it even needed? I see some guns with one rib. Can it be removed cleaned then reinstalled without loosing the top rib?

If it gets bad enough can it be removed without having the top come off to?

The French were fond of making "extra lusso" game guns w/o lower rib therefore it is probably not needed. Isn't there some adhesive out that that can be used w/o heating soldering? If I recall correctly that is how Marlin used to mate top alloy rib to their L.C. Smith guns in late 60s. I would make the gun look good pass it on and move unto something else. USA is full of old second hand guns w/o loose rib issues.

I once relayed a top rib on a Superposed for a guy who bought it used and had the top rib pop loose near the muzzle. The previous seller has epoxied it down and dumped it onto the buyer without disclosing the information.
Scum describes the seller well...
