The author foolishly articulates the outlines of a more or less complete plan. Rarely does the antigun crowd do this, as they are usually smart enough not to commit to anything (and get pinned down). The draconian features of the plan are very nicely exposed. He calls for a revocation of our 2nd and 4th amendment rights. Perhaps best of all, funding the plan would make the financial cost of the failed Canadian gun registry seem like just pittance.

We see not just the nose of the camel, but the animal in it's entirety. In doing so, the absurdity is made manifest for all. Sometimes the best way to tackle a bad idea is have it spelled out completely.

I think William Blake said something along the lines of: "a lie cannot be told in such a way as to be understood, yet not seen to be a lie". (I'm paraphrasing from memory - pls forgive me)
