CJ, nifty cast gauge. Nice job of straightening out an odd stock! Also noticed the leather covered pad on the bench.

Thank you Steven, I actualy made a couple of these measuring jigs and gave them to two of my smith friends,...they work very well, the measurements are easy to see on that grid and it helps to show the owner what was done to his gun. The pigskin pad is for that stock, and now that you mention it you can see it at different stages in the first and last pictures, I worked on it a bit while the stock was setting
I trimmed and tucked the bottom edge while the annealig lamp was on
