I don't believe that if the Jews had been armed the holocaust would have been prevented, but I do believe that it could have saved some lives and made things more difficult for the Nazis to accomplish in their "final solution".
Anyone foolish enough to think that our government can stop guns from flowing over our borders needs to be reminded of how drugs flow over our borders and how alcohol used to flow over our borders during Prohibition. The lessons of banning something are painfully clear from Prohibition and the current War on Drugs. One would think an island nation like England would have the easiest time stopping gun smugglers, but their crime rates show otherwise.
