I am in the process of transferring my Ithaca files to the McCracken library at Cody and thought a few of Bill's pulls might be of interest to we few Ithaca fans. More if there is an interest. I have a shoe box of them and one from Annie about Dave their dog. Didn't some one post a photo of an Ithaca gun with an elephant on it? This is the pull from that engraving.

I just noted a post card from Frank Butler. Dave the dog is on one side and the note from Frank that he wanted Dave to be on point on the gun. Haven't seen Annie's gun with Dave but it must be there some where. An important piece of Annie Oakley history!

Walt, that's a wonderful bit of History. Thanks for letting the Museum have them. Hopefully, they will be seen by those interested.

Yup, Annie it's always a good idea to go into the covey with your gun pointing right at the dog...
Seriously, Walt; what a wonderful idea. I haven't been to the Cody museum in 45 years. I used to live there. But thank you for saving them for future generations. Gil

May be her Ithaca but Dave was a setter. Annie would shoot apples off his head and he would eat some of the pieces as they fell back to earth. If I recall correctly, Dave was hit and killed by an auto.
