Raimey,
Photo # 9 on the Gun Auction listing for this one (see link on 1st page) clearly shows a nice radius where the action flats meet the standing breech.
Is that the radius you are referring to?

David,
Love the old Leica rangefinder. A 3f?
Looks like you are well on your way with your Prussian Daly.
Battle was fortunate the screws on his are so nice, they look untouched.

Sounds like the metal will clean up nicely. How badly is the stock cracked under the leather patchwork? Butt transplants are not something I offer but if I was going to offer them structural integrity of the head of the stock would be critical. I try to council my clients to not spend "good money after bad" as my mother put it. I'm not trying to change your plans for the gun, just curious is all. Great project! I at first didnt see a crack towards the head. Further inspection i see a hair line carck rear of the repair. I'd guess they were able to close any crack up which now is invisible.

I'm collecting some info & was curious if any & all could provide the width of the water table/frame at the hinge pin & radius/standing breech as well as the length. Any effort would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Raimey rse Width at water table hinge pin 1.377 width across breech face 2.191 firing pin spacing is 1.055 not sure about radius.

With the S in a Chevron & the initials RS(if that is what is near the lower rib on the underside of the left tube) then the tubes were sourced from the Schilling forge and Robert Schlegelmilch was the tubeset knitter. I'd say the rest was performed inhouse by H.A. Lindner's mechanic pool.
No worries on the radius as it was just a point for measurement. How long was the water table/action flats?
Kind Regards,
Raimey rse
