Mr. Newbern, all of those rocks are from the southeast. There are quite a few on that page from north Florida, south Georgia, and south Alabama. I wanted to find out about that gun because I really don't know anything about it. What you have said mirrors what I was told. As told to me one in each gauge was created at the time when some northeastern states were banning the use of rifles for deer hunting. When did Savage acquire Stevens? I was told it was around that time and the reason why the 20 gauge gun wasn't finished. Unfortunately at some point the 16 gauge stock cracked just behind the receiver. I sent it to someone in Texas a couple of years ago.
