Although Lefever was sold to Ithaca it remained a separate operation from Ithaca Gun Company so I doubt very seriously that any parts were exchanged between the two operations. Since no production record remain an indicator that the gun in question was assembled after the sale of Lefever to Ithaca is to look at the forearm hanger. If there are numbers stamped into the forearm hangar it was produced under Ithaca ownership. Another indicator is higher grade wood than would be expected for the grade of the gun as parts on hand were being used up to liquidate stock.
