It's from Lewis W. Douglas, FDR's Director of the Bureau of the Budget, who resigned after only one year on the job. Virtually all of FDR's actions were contrary to what he campaigned on, as well as against the official 1932 platform of the Democrat party. And people think Obama was somehow an intellectual originalist.
