Gary: I can't tell if the R .095 is the end of the chamber or within the forcing cone. It would be better to record the MWT at 2 3/4" and 3 1/2" (the end of the forcing cone). Because the taper angle of the exterior of the barrel is usually less than the angle of the forcing cone, the WT of the cone may be greater than the end of the chamber (but is not in my Sterly with lightweight barrels; the gun weighs only 6# 8oz with 28" barrels). The Hosford gauge is marked, but I had to affix a measure on my Bill Henry gauge

Keep at it brother; it's a pain at first but the more you use the gauge, the easier it gets. And pretty soon all your friends with vintage doubles will want their barrels measured
