Me too- turned 73 on Nov 6th this year- Other than the writings of: Nash Buckingham, Ernest Hemingway (hunting related stories only). GSJ "The Prairie Queen" by Jack Curtis (30 years old at least but a great tale-- and Gene Hill's "The Stranger"- my all time favorite short story is "A Deer For Cholly Dorman" written by Charles Nicholson some years ago--as we age, I find myself reading and reading those kind of stories more and more--and when I depart this mortal world, I hope it's like Corey Ford's character in "The Road To Tinkhamtown"---
