I don't understand going through all that trouble to make the metal perfect, and then stocking it with such a pedestrian piece of wood! Makes no sense! Better send that blank to me so you aren't tempted to put it on such an amazing gun.

It is more than skill. There is an artistic design flair that makes the gun even more special and certainly unique. For example, the chevron at the back of the cheeks completely changes the lines of the gun. I am looking forward to seeing the finished gun.
I am too lazy to look back in the thread but I recall there are some ingenious mechanical solutions to improve on the original design.
I think Dewey should be designing guns for manufacturers.
What is the pattern stock material?

That trigger guard is straight up Greene and Greene. I like that. Well done.
