anyone here ever dabble in the repair and or reproduction of soft iron muzzle loading firearms?

tried it years ago, but with little success due to a lack of patience and skill on my part. one really needs a lot of mentoring to learn how to do it right. sadly, all i had was a one week hands on rifle buliding course, followed by books and articles written by others.

i did build a couple of rifles. both shoot. both look ok, sorta...still have erm. not for sale.

keep it simple and keep it safe...
