When I sought out to purchase a custom-built Spanish gun several years ago I was considering either an AyA #2 or an Arrieta 570. I ended up ordering the Arrieta because:

1. It was 100% hand engraved vs. machine engraved and hand chased. In addition, I also made a couple of modifications to the standard 570-style engraving at no extra cost--that couldn't have been done with the mechanical engraving of the AyA.
2. It had chrome lined bores at no extra charge vs. an extra charge with the AyA.
3. I had a choice of rib styles with the Arrieta, AyA didn't mention anything about different rib styles even being available.
4. The finish on Arrietas was reported to be better.
5. Most options could be spec'd with the Arrieta at no additional cost vs. most of these same options were add ons with the AyA (longer LOP, longer than 28" barrels, initial oval, etc.)
6. The person I dealt with at Arrieta spoke fluent English--not so the people of AyA.

The above reasons were enough for me.
